Jayne Sherlock - Manager

I have 25 years experience of working in childcare and was appointed Manager in 2016.  I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Pre-School Practice and a Level 4 Diploma in Leadership & Management.  I love my job because it is so rewarding to watch each child grow and achieve his or her full potential while they are with us.  Every day is different!

Jayne is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and also SENCO for our setting.

Mel Hellard - Deputy Manager

...

Sandra Emery - Practitioner

I came to St Cuthbert’s Pre-School as a volunteer before being given the opportunity to join the team in 2008. I worked towards and completed the Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, which includes the City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 whilst working at the setting.
I enjoy all aspects of the role and feel it is important to make time to listen to the children, building good relationships. We share many special moments.

Sandra is the ENCO for our setting.

Carol Frew - Practitioner

I have been working at the Pre-School since 2012.  I am passionate about my job and love watching how the children grow in confidence, learning through play and interacting with their peers.  I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning & Development (Early Educator).  My main hobby is Carnival and I have been a member of the Globe CC for 20 years.

Harry Pursey - Practitioner

I have worked at St Cuthbert's Pre-School since 2015 and really enjoy my job working with the fantastic children who attend our setting.  Nothing brightens up your day better than to see their excited faces in the morning,  I am Level 5 qualified (NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young Person's Workforce - Management).

Ellie Partridge - Practitioner

(on maternity leave)

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and joined the team in September 2018. My main hobby is horse riding and I enjoy spending time with my family. I particularly enjoy the practical side of my job, helping the children to learn through play. It is so rewarding to see the children thrive and gain confidence during their time with us at Pre-School.

Denise Wright - Administrator

I have been involved with the Pre-School since my daughter was here in 2006/7, at which time I was also a committee member for a year. Once she started school, I took on the role of part time Administrator and all these years later I’m still here! It’s always lovely to have a chat with the children in between doing my paperwork and to see how they blossom during their time here.
