Friends of School

Friends of School extend a warm welcome to all parents and carers at St Cuthbert's Infants School.

Friends of School is a charitable organisation (Charity Number 1095062) run by a team of dedicated parent volunteers. They help raise additional funds for the school by organising social and fund raising events throughout the school year. The funds they raise help the school by providing addition facilities and resources for our children. Everyone is our school community is welcomed as a member of our Friends of School.

Friends of School organise a disco every term, co-ordinate the fun at the Summer Fete, provide the bouncy castle for our long running fundraiser; Bounce Day as well as supplying the Elves who support Father Christmas when he calls to visit our children at the Winter Fayre.

They are always looking for new ideas or suggestions on how to raise money as well as how you would like to see it spent! In the past Friends of School have revamped the school pond area, purchasing the fantastic gazebo outdoor classroom, they redecorated the class toilets across the school in themes chosen by the children. They have funded school trips, purchased new costumes for country dancing, paid for the coaches we use for swimming lessons and the Year 2 leavers Cinema Trip.

We always welcome active new members, being part of Friends of school is a great way to meet new people as well as have some involvement with school activities. You can give as much time as you can spare, whether it is just helping on the lucky dip, counting bounces on bounce day or taking notes at a meeting, all help is greatly appreciated. Prehaps you could join our Supporters List and help us with events we hold throughout the year. Email the school office and they will pass your details to Friends of School to be added to their email contacts.

Following the AGM the new Friends of School committee includes Charlotte Attwell (Chair), Mandy Cole (Secretary), Chrystelle Knowles (Treasurer).

Zoe Adams is the school staff representatives attending meetings and feeding back information to the school leadership team.
